Dress of the Day - June 12, 2011

Dress of the Day: Today I need your help examining the concept of "girl cute vs. guy cute," meaning that women and men differ about what looks good. Of course individuals differ on matters of tase, but this concept suggests that some questions of style generally divide along gender lines. I've selected two evening dresses, by Cristóbal Balenciaga and Christian Dior, in a similar palette and dating from within two years of each other. I'm asking you, ladies and gentlemen, to weigh in on which you prefer (and why).
