Dress of the Day: House of Worth (1925). This striking frock is in the Philadelphia Museum of Art's costume collection. Charles Frederick Worth (1825-1895) is considered the father of haute couture. His house continued into the 20th century, and this flapper look would help make a big entrance anywhere today (and especially an exit with the detailed back).
